Through a series of posters, I sought to encourage a new way of thinking of Marian University's Franciscan Value of Responsible Stewardship: seeing all of the opportunities we have as students at Marian University as gifts to steward and use well. The posters are designed like an Apple advertisement or iOS update presentation to ironically emphasize the technological distractions we face, with reminders about the gift that you’re missing told through unique written content in things like phone screens and ad-style boxes. I will be including a banner, tape-like piece that reads “This is not an ad. This is your life.” This piece of the poster series aims to disrupt the sleek visuals, remiding viewers that these features of Marian that I’m pointing out aren’t just more “things” to consume, but that they make up the life that surrounds us, begging to be truly lived and cared for. 20x28 posters
