The world longs for connection. I know this because I see it in my own heart, in the hearts of my family, in the hearts of my friends. I see it in faces online and strangers on the street. The world longs to be seen, even when that feels terrifying. What so much of the world does not know (or has known and seems to forget) is that it is already known and loved in the ways it dreams of — we just aren't noticing it. Our hearts will spend our whole existence waking up to that truth.
My creativity has and will take on a million forms. But at the end of the day, it isn’t the form that matters at all. The heart of this creative journey is connection.
Talking with the Creator, who generously calls us co-creators and friends. Seeking out the people who bring us to life, making note of the best parts of them. Becoming familiar with our own selves more deeply than we’re used to. Noticing the beauty of our intricately designed lives.
If my work does not further a way of living that prioritizes the search for connection and goodness, then my work becomes pointless.
The act of looking for good things has the power to mend, strengthen, and set us free. Therefore, my art (and my life) will always keep goodness at the forefront.
As an artist and designer, I hope to always prompt stillness, gratitude, and empathy. I pray that when someone encounters my colors, words, and forms that they awaken the very truth their soul has always known:
